Our Purpose

The Eureka Springs Historical Museum operates as a nonprofit corporation exclusively for charitable, literary, artistic, and educational purposes. Specifically, the ESHM shall:

  1. Discover and memorialize the history of Eureka Springs, AR., as well as other towns, villages, townships, historic sites, buildings and landmarks that are situated in the Western District of Carroll County.
  2. Discover, purchase, commission or otherwise procure, publish or otherwise preserve writings, documents, newspapers, periodicals, books, journals, artistic representations, and the like, which shed light on the history of the region.
  3. Discover, procure, and preserve physical objects that may relate to the history of the region.
  4. Establish and maintain a museum or museums on land owned by the corporation and hold regular meetings and other activities of the association members.

Help support the Museum by becoming a part of the "Pillar of the Museum" direct desposit program. With regular income the Museum can continue to serve the community as a valuable resource and expand our services.

As a Pillar of the Museum, you will recieve the following benefits:

With a $50.00 monthly donation you will also receive a Pillar with a "Pillar of the Museum" name plate to display at you home or business.

"7th Annual Christmas Ball"

Saturday, December 8, 2008. The Basin Park Hotel will host a Benefit Christmas Ball for the Eureka Springs Historical Museum. Wine and Hors d'oeuvres will be served from 7 -9 p.m. The Jack Mitchell Quintet will play from 8 - 11 p.m. A silent auction will be held featuring items donated by area businesses.

Resort Casual Dress/Black tie is optional
Cash Bar/Door Prizes
Tickets: $20.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door.
